Upon arrival: the first steps
Once your beautiful SimzFlo flowers arrive, it's essential to give them immediate attention. Start by carefully unboxing your flowers. Remove any excess foliage below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth. Using a sharp knife or floral shears, trim about 2-3 cm off the bottom of each stem at an angle. This creates a larger surface area for water absorption and prevents the stems from sitting flat on the bottom of the vase.
Water and nourishment
Choose a clean vase appropriate for the size of your bouquet. Fill it with fresh, cool water and add the included flower food packet according to the instructions. Flower food provides essential nutrients and helps inhibit bacterial growth. If you don't have flower food, change the water daily. Place your trimmed flowers into the prepared vase immediately. Ensure all stem ends are submerged in water.
Location, location, location
The placement of your flowers significantly impacts their lifespan. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources (like radiators or televisions), and ripening fruit, as these can cause your flowers to dehydrate and wilt prematurely. Instead, find a cool spot in your home with good air circulation. A little bit of shade will help them stay fresh longer.
